2018 Frank Family Carneros Chardonnay

About the Wine

The Frank Family Carneros Chardonnay is a great example of what an oaked Chardonnay should taste like. Barrel fermented in 34% new, 33% once and 33% twice-filled French oak barrels for 9 months. While ageing on the lees, the wine was hand stirred regularly to promote depth and longevity.

Tasting Notes

Hailing from acclaimed vineyard sites, the 2018 Carneros Chardonnay offers a creamy full body complemented by fresh, persistent acidity.
Layers of yellow apple, lemon curd, baked pear, and toasted brioche lead to a balanced and lasting finish of vanilla and baking spice.

Food Pairings

This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with grilled or roasted chicken as well as delicately flavored pork dishes. You may also enjoy it with a variety of snacks such as roasted nuts and one my favorites truffle popcorn.

The Wine Down

Frank Family just doesn’t make a bad Chardonnay, it is consistently good. It is a stunning and elegant wine that will never disappoint.

You can find this bottle for $27- $35.

If you’re ever in Napa Valley, make sure to visit their tasting room. The 19th Century Stone Winery is listed on the Register of National Historic Places. It is surrounded by beautiful elm trees which creates the perfect scenery for a lovely wine tasting experience.
