About the Wine
Carr Winery produced this wonderful Syrah from three unique vineyards throughout Santa Barbara County. Tierra Alta is located in Ballard Canyon, Kærskov Vineyard is located in Los Olivos District and Paredon Vineyard is located in Carpinteria.
It is 100% Syrah, aged 18 months in French Oak Barrels.
Winemaker Notes
A classic example of exceptional Central Coast Syrah, this wine offers plenty of richness and texture, balanced with expressive notes of ripe cherry and blackberry. Fragrant aromas of violet and smoke round out the nose while the palate brims with concentrated flavors of fresh fruit and spice. This full-bodied yet elegant wine delivers a seamless finish, exhibiting a subtle dryness and velvety tannins.
Food Pairings
As a general rule Syrah pairs very well with grilled meats, vegetables, wild game and beef stew. An ideal pairing for this wine is Barbecue Pork. A bold wine like this can hold up to the intense flavors of this dish. Season the meat with pepper and cumin to bring out the fruitiness in the wine.

If you’re ever in Santa Barbara make sure to visit Carr Winery located in a very fitting street called Salsipuedes meaning “get out if you can” 😂. They have a cute outdoor tasting area along with an indoor space called The Barrel Room which can be rented for private events.
