About the Wine
The 2018 La Crema Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley is an outstanding wine. It comes from the heart of Oregon. Oregon’s Pinot Noir can be as sophisticated and compelling as a fine red Burgundy. Wines from the Willamette Valley region are more finely boned than California Pinot, and displays a wide, aromatic range of flavors including strawberry, raspberry, delicate floral notes, and earthier notes like mushroom and truffle.
Winemaker Notes
The nose is teeming with baking spices and pie crust. On the palate dense red fruit flavors give way to subtle blue fruit and blood orange notes. Fine tannins knit the wine together.
Food Pairings
This Pinot is excellent paired with pork tenderloin, duck, salmon, and just about anything. It is definitely a food wine. I paired it with one of my favorite dishes, Cioppino. The high acidity of this wine compliments this seafood, tomato based dish.

The Wine Down
The 2018 La Crema Willamette Valley Pinot Noir was awarded 92 points by Wine Spectator who said it was one of the Top 100 Wines of 2020.
