About the Wine
This 2016 Syrah from Gordon Estate has aromas of deep, black currant, leather, sage and flavors of black berries and dark chocolate. The soft tannins create a wine that explodes from the glass. Enjoy this wine a la carte or as part of a fabulous meal.

About the Winery
The Gordon Vineyards have been family owned and operated since 1983, producing consistent premium-quality wines that are exclusively the product of their estate grown grapes. Washington wine country has only been producing premium wines for a little over 50 years. This is nothing compared to many of the world’s winemaking regions. Yet in that half-century, Washington has become the United States’ second-largest wine producer, behind California. And each year, Washington winemakers deliver an ever-more-impressive portfolio of world-class wines.
Food Pairings
Syrah’s often carry flavors of black cherry, black pepper, blackberry, plum and dark chocolate. Therefore when considering what pairs best with Syrah’s think of Barbecue, especially spareribs. Other great options are seared Tuna or Osso Buco. If you have more of a sweet tooth, pair this bottle with your favorite decadent chocolate dessert.
The Wine Down
This Syrah is a blend of 75% Syrah, 15% Alicante Bouschet and 10% Tempranillo. It is aged for 30 months in 50% French Oak, 30% American Oak, and 20% Hungarian Oak. This is an amazing and affordable everyday wine.
