About The Wine

This award winning Bulgarian wine is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Syrah. It is deep dark garnet in color. On the nose, it is rich with the aroma of black currant and a hint of roasted coffee. On the palate the wine has firm powerful body with a very good tannin structure. It is well balanced by fresh fruit in the flavor. It has a long spicy and juicy finish.

About The Region

Bulgariana wines embody the spirit of one of the oldest wine regions in the world. The first wines were made there almost two thousand years ago. Until the fall of communism, Bulgaria was the second largest wine-producing nation in the world. This wine comes from the Thracian Valley, which is one of the largest wine regions in Bulgaria under (PGI) Protected Geographical Indication.

Food Pairings

This wine pairs well with Duck, Lamb, Grilled Steak as well as with chesses like Brie, Camembert, Danish Blue and Sharp Cheddar.
