About the Wine
The name KARIA (KAR-ee-ah) is derived from the Greek word meaning graceful, and the 2017 KARIA Chardonnay lives up to its moniker. It shows how grapes from select cool-climate vineyards in southern Napa Valley can be vinified and blended into a seamless integration of fresh-fruit aromas and flavors, crisp acidity and subtle oak spice. Light and graceful: that’s KARIA. KARIA comes from a tapestry of vineyards in the southern part of Napa Valley. For the 2017 offering, vineyards in the Atlas Peak District, Oak Knoll AVA (including Danika Ranch), Carneros and Coombsville contributed fruit for this wine.
Blend: 100% Chardonnay

The Wine Down
If you’re ever in Napa Valley, make sure to visit Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars. They have a beautiful modern, state of the art tasting room with scenic panoramic views of their estate vineyards. They also have some of the most beautiful wine caves. If you haven’t experienced a cave tour, this is the one. When you visit them, make sure to have their Estate Collection Flight. If you decide to join their wine club, you’ll have access to many of the fabulous events that they host. Alex surprised me one year for our wedding anniversary.

We had beautiful three course dinner with amazing wine pairings under the stars on their property. YES, I am obsessed with this winery!

You can find this bottle for $25 – 35. It is definitely worth every penny!
